An organisation can be guilty of corporate manslaughter (or corporate homicide in Scotland) if the way its activities are managed causes a person's death, and it amounts to a gross breach of a relevant duty of care owed by the organisation to the deceased. A campaign to change the law regarding Corporate Manslaughter is expected, RNLI rely on Maritime Law which gives them some protection. People are sickened by RNLI bringing in thieves rapists and murderers without duty of care of the consequences of their actions. Lots of people believe RNLI should be stripped of their Charity status.
